Microsoft Secure Access Essentials is a subscription service for organizations using Microsoft 365 and Office 365, designed to enhance the management and security of their network traffic. By leveraging Microsoft’s extensive infrastructure, this service optimizes and secures access to both public and private resources.

The core of Microsoft Secure Access Essentials is the Microsoft traffic profile, a feature within Microsoft Global Secure Access in Entra. With the Microsoft traffic profile, organizations can manage and route their network traffic through Microsoft’s infrastructure. Key points include:

  • Traffic Forwarding: Traffic from client devices is forwarded to Microsoft’s Security Service Edge (SSE) proxy for advanced security configurations.
  • Policy Management: Administrators can manage traffic policies, such as rules for forwarding or bypassing traffic based on Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) or IP subnets.
  • Integration with Microsoft Services: Supports traffic for services like Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Conditional Access: Integrates with conditional access policies to ensure that only authorised users have access.

Microsoft Secure Access Essentials is available as a per-user subscription. A Microsoft Entra ID P1 or P2 subscription (or another subscription that includes this) is required to use Microsoft Secure Access Essentials. Microsoft Secure Access Essentials will also be included in Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5.

Please note: Microsoft Secure Access Essentials is limited to Microsoft traffic; for the full capabilities of Microsoft Global Secure Access in Entra, we recommend using the Microsoft Entra Suite or the standalone subscriptions for Microsoft Entra Internet Access and Microsoft Entra Private Access.

SWITCHING CLOUD PROVIDER

Switching to us as your new Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) is a seamless process. The transfer of subscriptions may vary depending on the agreement you have with your current provider. That's why we ensure that the transition to us is smooth, without any downtime! All you need to do is terminate your current agreement.

Subscription Transfer 
Our approach to subscription transfer is simple and seamless. On the day before your current agreement expires, we will activate the desired subscriptions in our Marketplace. This way, you won't experience any issues during the transition, and there will be no interruption in your cloud services. All you have to do is cancel your current contract to prevent automatic renewal.

No Downtime 
When you switch from your current CSP provider to us, you don't have to worry about downtime. New Commerce Experience (NCE) is the new contract model introduced by Microsoft.
